Alex Portlock

Alex is a proactive and accomplished Senior Development Manager with over eleven years of experience at HPG, successfully leading and delivering a diverse range of development projects from site acquisition through to design, planning, and delivery.

He brings energy and strategic insight to his role, with a particular strength in unlocking value from underutilised and constrained assets, and maximising development potential through innovative design and planning approaches.

Alex’s portfolio includes complex, large-scale urban regeneration schemes such as the award-winning 898-unit mixed-use Blackwall Yard project, the transformative 2,500-unit 980 Great West Road regeneration scheme, and the redevelopment of the Blenheim Shopping Centre in Penge, which will revitalise the town centre with high-quality public spaces, diverse commercial uses, and much-needed new housing.
