Careers in Theatre

Half Moon is a much loved and respected organisation in Tower Hamlets, with a strong national remit, which provides the very best professional theatre for young people in a specialist setting and on tour to other arts venues in the UK.

They place an emphasis on engaging those often excluded from arts activity, such as BME communities, Deaf and disabled people, those who are neuro-diverse or affected by mental health conditions or excluded due to socio-economic circumstances. Each year their work reaches around 50,000 people of whom 60% are from the BME community and 10% are disabled.

We are working with the Half Moon Theatre in Limehouse to deliver an educational arts programme, Careers in Theatre, focused on engaging young adults from Black and Ethnic Minority backgrounds who are frequently excluded from The Arts.
