Nomadic Community Gardens

Creating Urban Community Gardens

"One of the things that I like most about the gardens is noticing all of the life around us, buzzing away in an often invisible language under our busy lives. The gardens gives us proximity to that language, so that we may hear and appreciate it once again." - A local Stratford resident

Nomadic Gardens, co-founded by James Wheale, is dedicated to transforming underused and empty spaces into urban gardens. Inspiring people to grow produce, create art, share skills, and discover what it means to build a community from the bottom up.

It made perfect sense to invite James Wheale and his team to join Hadley to help deliver our new meanwhile project. They have transformed our site in Stratford into a community garden and well-being space, now known as The Lighthouse and Gardens.
